Integrated Wireless Bankcard Terminals
The Integrated Bankcard Terminal is the most traditional type used to process credit card transactions. At remote locations where electricity and phone lines are not available, a built-in battery and modem operating on a Cellular Data Network are needed to connect to a processing center and settle the transaction. Cellular Data Networks do not necessarily have the same coverage areas as Cellular Voice Networks. This disparity limits the locations where transactions can be completed.
